HISTORY WALK AND TALK: SOUTH CLIFTON

 

Leading local historian and author ADRIAN GRAY will lead a walk around historic South Clifton. This is a place of great significance in the history of the Trent – hear about the disastrous flood of 1795, lost channels of the river, dark deeds in country lanes and stories of the old ferryman and his dog.

• 15th May, 10am to 12.15pm approx.
• Meet at junction of Front Street and Vicarage Road
• Walking distance approx. 2.5 miles, some uneven ground
• Cost £7.50 per head

COVID: we have a full risk assessment and as a tourist organisation are authorised for outdoor activities with more than six people. However, places will be limited to twenty.
